1st grade students in Ms. Ashley Willson’s class at Hillrise Elementary recently worked on their writing skills and implemented the formal writing process as they created and published their own winter stories.
Ms. Willson shared that students used the writing process to write an original story about winter from their point of view, and then published those stories by creating presentations that included a title, dedication page, full story, and an All About the Author page. After completion, the students’ stories are shared with their parents at spring conferences.
