Elkhorn Public Schools (EPS) is pleased to offer Kindergarten 101 as a jump-start for qualifying students entering kindergarten in August 2021. The three-week program is primarily designed to serve children who have limited preschool experience or who demonstrate a need for additional support in building the skills necessary for kindergarten. This includes students who qualify as English Learners and students who meet the requirements for free and reduced-price lunches. Although priority will be given to students who may need additional support, a limited number of students may also be enrolled as peer models. EPS teachers will lead the program which will closely resemble a regular kindergarten structure.
Kindergarten 101 will take place Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. beginning July 19th through August 6th at Manchester and Fire Ridge elementary schools. Kindergarten 101 is offered at no cost to parents, and transportation services will be provided with limited site pick up. More details regarding transportation will be available upon acceptance into the program.
Applications are now closed. Parents will be notified if their child has been accepted into Kindergarten 101 by May 20, 2021.
