Elkhorn Public Schools (EPS) is pleased to offer “Kindergarten 101” as a jump-start for qualifying students entering kindergarten in the upcoming school year. This three-week, no cost program is primarily designed to serve children who have limited preschool experience or who demonstrate a need for additional support in building the skills necessary for kindergarten. This includes students who qualify as English learners and students who meet free and reduced-priced lunch requirements. Although priority will be given to students who meet these criteria, a limited number of students may also be enrolled as peer models. The program will be led by EPS teachers and will closely resemble a regular Kindergarten daily structure.
Kindergarten 101 will be held Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. from July 18th through August 5th at Manchester and Fire Ridge elementaries.
Applications are now closed and parents have been notified of their child’s acceptance.
