School – Community – Volunteer Relations
The Board looks upon school-community associations as an integral part of the school community that can aid substantially in promoting and improving the educational program.
Among the many services such associations offer, the Board endorses any assistance, which may be given in developing and maintaining a parent volunteer program in the district’s schools.
The Board encourages active support of and cooperation with school-community associations by staff members. The Board encourages the use of community resources and citizens to assist in furthering the educational program.
Background checks shall be conducted on all volunteers who have direct and sustained contact with students as determined by the Superintendent or designee.
