Policy 1003
Public Access to School Records
The Board subscribes to the belief that citizens who are adequately informed will be more positive about their school concerns. The Superintendent and staff are encouraged to use media (publications, radio, and TV) to keep the goals, programs, achievements and needs of the District before the public.
Further, the District, through the Administration, shall provide the public access to the records of the District as required by law. Such access shall include the opportunity to examine, make memoranda and copy school district records. The school district shall not make available records of individual students or personnel except such information as allowed by law or compelled by court order.
