Superintendent Salary and Other Compensation
The board has complete discretion to set the salary of the superintendent. It shall be the responsibility of the board to set the salary and benefits of the superintendent. Benefits may include health insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, dues to professional organizations, paid vacation days, actual and necessary expenses when the superintendent is performing work-related duties, and other forms of compensation as may be determined by the board. The salary and benefits shall be set at the beginning of each contract term. Contract terms may be for one, two or three years.
