Accommodations
The District is committed to complying fully with federal and state laws protecting employees who are qualified individuals with disabilities and who are pregnant. The District will make reasonable accommodation for qualified individuals with known disabilities and for pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions unless making the accommodation would result in an undue hardship to the District. It is the employee’s responsibility to notify the Principal or the Assistant Superintendent of the need for an accommodation. Upon doing so, the District may ask for the employee’s input on the type of accommodation that may be necessary based on the functional limitations caused by the employee’s health condition. Also, when appropriate, the employee may need to provide permission to obtain additional information from his or her physician. The District will not seek genetic information in connection with the request for accommodation and all medical information shall be treated as confidential.
