Participation in the Graduation Ceremony
Students who have met the requirements for an Elkhorn diploma will participate in the graduation ceremony. A student with a disability who is progressing toward but is not scheduled to complete their prescribed course of study for at least one or more years past the graduation ceremony date of their class may participate in the graduation ceremony of their class, upon recommendation of his/her individual education program team prior to January 15. Such student will receive a progress certificate in lieu of a diploma at the graduation ceremony and then will return to his/her Elkhorn educational placement in the school year following their participation in the ceremony. A student may participate in the graduation ceremony only once.
