2021-22 Back to School Information

The following information will be helpful for EPS middle school families to start the 2021-22 school year.

New Student Registration

Registration for students who did not attend an EPS school during the 2020-21 school year is currently open at http://www.elkhornweb.org/parents/new-students/.  Upon completion of the online registration process, families should contact their assigned school to schedule an appointment during New Student registration, planned for Tuesday, August 3 and Wednesday, August 4, 2021.

EPS staff members who schedule appointments will return to their buildings on July 28.  If you call prior to that date, please leave a message, and they will return your call upon their return.

Returning Students Registration

Online registration will open for returning students on August 2.  Additional information and a link to registration will be provided in an email from the District on August 2.

Immunization Requirements

All incoming 7th grade students are required to have a T-dap booster immunization.  Additional information on required vaccinations can be found here.

Supply List

A copy of the 2021-22 supply list can be found at http://bit.ly/MSsupplies.

Sports Physicals

All 7th and 8th graders for the 2021-2022 school year who plan to participate in sports, along with any 6th grader who chooses to participate in Running Club, will need a sports physical. Please contact your health care provider to arrange for your child to get a Sports Physical for next year.  Please note that Sports Physicals must be dated after May 1, 2021.

Fall sports will begin during the first week of school and students are not allowed to participate without having a Sports Physical turned in. All 7th graders are required to get a complete physical before entering 7th grade (which typically involves immunization updates) that will satisfy the sports physical.

Open House

Open house for all EPS middle schools will be held on Thursday, August 12.  Specific times and details will be shared via email from the building principal in the August Newsletter.

First Day of School

The first day of school for students will be Tuesday, August 17.  It will be a full day (8:10 – 3:20) and lunch will be served.

EPS Celebrates Another Year of Growth as District Welcomes Students in Two New Buildings

In alignment with the previous 33 years, Elkhorn Public Schools (EPS) celebrated its 34th consecutive year of enrollment growth with the start of the 2020-2021 school year, welcoming over 10,000 K-12 students in 19 school buildings.  As part of that growth, EPS proudly opened the doors to two new schools this fall, welcoming over 250 K-5 students at Woodbrook Elementary and over 650 9th-11th grade students at Elkhorn North High School in their inaugural year.

Woodbrook Elementary, led by Principal Pam Wahl, is located in the northwest quadrant of the EPS district, near 186th and Ida.  The school, which is the home of the Bobcats, is the twelfth elementary school for the District.  According to Principal Wahl, “Woodbrook’s staff consists of fabulous, veteran teachers from across the district, dedicated to developing a love of learning and empowering students to reach the highest levels of learning.  We are looking forward to developing strong parent/school relationships as we get to know our students, parents and community members.”

Elkhorn North High School, home of the ENHS Wolves, is led by former Elkhorn High School Principal Dan Radicia and is located near 180th and Maple streets.  Principal Radicia and the ENHS staff are excited about the opportunity to add a third high school to EPS ranks and continuing the tradition of excellence for high school students in the district.

Record growth, outstanding achievement, and strong community partnership are only a few of the hallmarks that make our community a great place to live, learn and grow.  As a new school year begins, EPS looks forward to another year of excellence in all facets of our students’ education.
