The 36 students of the Elkhorn High School Concert Choir were honored to share the stage with the Omaha Symphony on Sunday, November 10th for a performance of Mendelssohn’s Elijah, along with choirs from Bellevue West, Omaha Central, Creighton Prep, Fremont, and Millard South. The Choral Collaborative program put on by Omaha Performing Arts allows high school musicians to experience the preparation and performance of challenging classic music literature in a professional environment. During preparations, students had the opportunity to work with professional soloists, Chorusmaster Barron Breland, and Maestro Ernest Richardson at EHS and on-site at the Holland.
We are grateful for the support of our students’ families, our school district, and Omaha Performing Arts/Choral Collaborative Program for allowing us this amazing opportunity to perform with the Omaha Symphony in the Holland Center!
