TAs enjoy a family-friendly work schedule that aligns with the student calendar and are employed across all levels from preschool through high school and in various EPS programs including the Young Adult Program, the Elementary Spanish program, and the English Learner program.
Starting Pay
– Daily: $170/day
– Long-Term: $190/day
Other Information
Substitute teachers enjoy flexible schedules, easy access to job vacancies, and personalized identification badges for their individual use.
Substitutes who work 60 full days will earn the long-term daily rate for any additional days worked during the current school year.
EPS welcomes student teachers in all grade levels and content areas. Student teachers are paired with a master teacher for the clinical practice term.
Other information
Elkhorn Public Schools student teachers receive the substitute teacher daily rate when covering a vacancy, and EPS pays for the student teacher’s NDE Local Substitute Certification.
Student teachers are also provided email accounts and name badges for their individual use and are slated for full-time position interviews following completion of their clinical practice term.

– Middle School Head Custodian: $23.80/hr
– Elementary Head Custodian: $22.80/hr
– Assistant Custodian: $21.00/hr
