Construction Begins on New Elementary, Set to Open August 2020

Over the summer, construction began on Woodbrook Elementary, the District’s 12th elementary school.  The school is set to open its doors in August 2020 near 186th and Ida streets at 18520 Purple Martin Parkway.

The Woodbrook Core team, led by principal-elect Pam Wahl, will work throughout the 2019-2020 school year to begin establishing and planning for the new school.  As part of that planning process, a mascot, logo, and school colors will be proposed, approved, and introduced in the early months of 2020.

Additionally, boundaries for students being assigned to Woodbrook Elementary were approved by the EPS Board of Education in June 2019.  For a full review of the newly approved boundaries, please visit http://www.elkhornweb.org/about/district-map-boundaries/.

Newly Renovated Kitchens, Stadium Welcome Students

In March 2018, District patrons voted to approve a $149.615 million bond funding the construction and renovation of several District facilities.  Some of these projects were completed throughout the summer, including the remodel of kitchen space at both Westridge and Skyline elementaries, the District’s two oldest elementaries.

Additionally, the Elkhorn Public Schools stadium was also renovated to better be able to accommodate the needs of three high schools, which the District will see in August of 2020 with the opening of Elkhorn North High School.
