New Student Registration

Welcome to the Elkhorn Public Schools!

2017-18 New student registration will be held August 2 and 3 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at all Elkhorn Schools.

New student registration is intended for students who are new to Elkhorn Public Schools. If you are unsure of your school attendance area, please select one of the boundary pages below.

Parents need to provide a copy of the student’s birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residency in order to register for classes.

Note: Some schools require an appointment for new student registration.  Please contact your school’s building secretary between July 26-August 1.

Elkhorn Elementary #11

Elkhorn Elementary #11

EPS will build its newest elementary school near 216th and F Streets. The school, which has yet to be named, will open in the fall of 2018. The District’s seven other elementary schools constructed since 2000 all have a similar floor plan, but elementary #11 will have a completely new design. “It’s time to change it up,” said Director of Business Support Services Ryan Lindquist. Lindquist, who works closely with architects, said the new design would align with changing building and energy codes and create a space that reflects how learning has evolved in the last 15 years.

The area surrounding the school site will see an influx of residential and commercial development over the next several years. More than 1,100 residential lots have already been approved in the area. The new school will provide relief primarily to Skyline Elementary. This year alone, Skyline’s enrollment was up nearly 80 students.

Elementary #11 will be the last project to be completed from the $63.1 million bond issue passed by voters in 2014.

EPS Rated Excellent

EPS Rated Excellent

Elkhorn was one of only five districts in the state to receive the highest rating possible from the AQuESTT system—Excellent. AQuESTT stands for Accountability for a Quality Education System Today and Tomorrow, an accountability system for public schools in Nebraska. Similar to a hotel’s ‘star’ rating, Districts across the State are rated as Excellent, Great, Good or Needs Improvement based on multiple indicators including: growth; improvement; participation; and achievement on the State’s reading, math, science and writing assessments. Graduation rates are also factored in AQuESTT ratings.
