Per Policy 502.12, the EPS Board of Education has identified the following capacities (open seats) based on physical space and staffing for the 2026-27 school year:
Elkhorn High School:
- 9th grade: 22 seats
- 10th grade: 10 seats
- 11th grade: 4 seats
- 12th grade: 5 seats
All other EPS schools will be closed to intra-district transfers for the 2026-27 school year.
As a reminder, Policy 502.12 is utilized as an additional tool to manage student enrollment growth by allowing students to request a transfer to the school of their choice within the District when capacity and staffing allow, while maintaining equitable access to educational opportunities across all schools. Open seats at Elkhorn High School (EHS) allow the District to better manage enrollment growth at Elkhorn North (ENHS) and Elkhorn South (ESHS) without requiring boundary changes by offering students the opportunity to request a transfer to EHS. Notably, EHS is primarily served by one middle school, plus a small percentage of a second middle school, whereas ENHS and ESHS are both served by two middle schools; therefore, this opportunity provides benefits to all three EPS high schools.
The following timeline and procedures will be utilized for the Intra-District Transfer Process:
